Our Story
Michael G. Lowes started Lowes’ Landscaping in 1985 as a small close customer based company. Erik Lowes, Michael’s son, took over and expanded the business in 2008 to serve residential, commercial, and municipal customers. In 2013, Erik opened Planted in Stone, the retail division of the company. Lowes Landscaping purchased Clean Cut Lawn Service and expanded its services in Fall of 2013. The company is certified with National Concrete Masonry Association and International Concrete Paver Association

Erik Lowes
Owner
Erik Lowes is the President of Lowes Landscaping today. At the age of 21, Erik went into the business full time, with 1 employee. Today Lowes Landscaping has grown to a staff of 9 employees, has a retail garden center, and is known as a leading provider of the best quality landscape services around the Cuba area. Every year Lowes Landscaping participates in PLANET’s (the voice of our inustry) “Day of Service” in which we volunteer our talents to enhance the beauty and function of our community while spreading awareness of our trade. Erik is an active volunteer. He is the current President of the Cuba Lions, and is on the Board of Directors for Mid-Ozark C.A.S.A. He also serves on the Cuba Fire Dept. Erik holds industry certifications from PLANET, is an ICPI Level 1 installer, NCMA certified for segmental retaining walls, and is a Missouri Master Gardener.

Wesley Gillam
Operations manager
Wesley has worked for Lowes Landscaping for the previous 5.5 years as the head maintenance/mowing tech. He has a total of about 9 years of landscaping experience. He previously worked for Clean Cut Lawn Care for a little over three years until Erik acquired the company. Since that time, Wesley stayed on as the head maintenance/mowing tech and has now been promoted to the operations manager and head irrigation technician. He is skilled in various fields from mowing, irrigation, fertilizing, retaining walls, patios, equipment operator, etc. In his spare time, you will find Wesley heading to his favorite lake to go fishing or heading to a fishing tournament. Wesley is a very family and friends oriented person and will always go out of his way to help you out.

Martin Padilla
Landscape Team Leader
Martin began working with Lowes’ Landscaping in March 2016. He previously worked for 11 years with the company we acquired, Peaceful Valley Nursery, LLC. He also worked for Baxter Gardens for 10 years. Martin uses his attention to detail, friendly nature and 24 years of experience to add value to our company. We are pleased to celebrate his three years of service with Lowes’ Landscaping! Outside of work, Martin enjoys spending time with his 6 children, his wife, 5 grandchildren, and other family members. Martin became a United States citizen in November 2016 after 20 years as a permanent resident.
